As an underground club jam session warrior from N.Y.C. Roy Hargrove came with this fantastic neo soul/jazz/funk album, released in 2003 for Verve Record label. Beside brilliant trumpet playing of the ace, a huge contribution to a pleasureful harmony of The RH Factor gave Erykah Badu, Meshell Ndegeocello, Common, D’Angelo and Marc Cary. Even after many years of listening to Hard Groove, it still sounds ahead of it’s time and offers a never ending soul feed. Enjoy!
